Frequently Asked Questions
Do you do blueing?
Yes, blueing and parkerizing is done in house. We also offer a wide range of repair and refinish services.
What is your backlog?
Our normal backlog runs 6-8 weeks. On custom rifle orders, the turn-around time is normally dictated by the availability of the products used. Turn-around on these orders is estimated at time of order.
What action alterations are required on your magazine boxes?
The rear of the magazine cut-out in the bottom of the receiver must be milled back .125″, and the bolt stop must be shortened .110″.
Can I get one of your stocks in a different style or for a different action?
At this time we are only offering our stocks in the Varmint design.
I wonder about your .223 10rd box magazine, is this for an AR15?
Hey Kurt,
All of our detachable magazines are used in our proprietary bottom metal unit, which is predominantly designed to be used with the Remington 700; but we do offer units for Ruger M77 and Howa actions as well.
Thanks,
Dalton Wammock
Will you be making one for the ar platform?
Odds are we won’t. The market is already flooded with aftermarket AR magazines.
Do you have 338XC magazine box for Borden ?
What is your projected COAL goin to be?
Can a Baney box be used on a Pierce Engineering Ti 700 clone receiver for a 6.5 SAUM cartridge?
It can work with that action, but you will have to make some modifications to it. You will have to open up the magazine well, and you will also have to mill the bolt stop. With the Baney I think you will be ok, but if you go to far on the bolt stop; it will no longer stop the bolt. You can mill it flat at that point, drill it and JB weld a hardened pin in and then grind it to the length you need to act as the bolt stop. The Baney box would not be my go to for the SAUM cartridge. For those short, fat cartridges I generally recommend a window style box.

Hello,
Is there an extended box available for the Model Seven?
Thank you
The problem you will run into extending on the model 7, is that you are very limited in how much you can modify the bolt release. To open up for one of our extended boxes you mill out towards the rear of the magazine well. When you take that metal out, you have to be able to have the bolt move back further as well, to pick up the rear of the cartridge.
What options do I have for a Bergara B-14 Ridge in 7mm-08? The rifle will only shoot tight groups with the bullets seated close to the lands and this makes them too long for the standard internal magazine.
The extended length box for the 7-08 would be our MBE-5. I haven’t messed with the B-14 ridge before so I would recommend double checking the magazine well length to see if you will need to have it opened up to accommodate the extended box.
Do you have anything for for a Browning A-bolt LA or can I modify say a REM to work?
Thanks Jack
Hey Jack,
I don’t have anything for a browning and I wouldn’t recommend trying to get a Remington style box to work out of one either. I just don’t see it happening. Are you missing a part, or where you hoping to use one of our extended length boxes to be able to seat your bullets out further?

Dalton Wammock
What is the purpose of the cutouts on some of the magazine boxes you offer?
The windows are there to help the fatter cartridges such as the WSM and RSAUM’s in the short action and the RUM’s and cartridges of that ilk in the long action; to sit more in a staggered formation while they are in the magazine box. This also help set the cartridge a little further underneath the feed rail of the action so that it makes more contact and is less likely to “jump the rail” on you.
Thanks,
Dalton
I have a terminus kratos lite (long action. which magazine box would work best for a 280ai cartridge?
thank you
Mike
A lot of that will depend on if the magazine well has been cut for the Wyatt’s extended length box. If it has you can go with the MBE-2. If it hasn’t then you can go with the RLA box. The RLA will work in an extended magazine well, there is just going to be some space for the box to move around in if its unloaded. When it’s loaded the tension from the cartridges pushing against the follower and spring will keep it from moving around.
Thanks,
Dalton
Are your magazines AICS pattern?
They are not, they are proprietary to our detachable system.

Will your .308 10 rd mag fit in the ruger m77 drop in mag set?
NO it won’t, the Ruger has a different latching system than our Remington.
Thanks
Dalton
Somewhat new to rifles. I have a Remington 300 Win Mag model # 783. Will the detachable 5rd .300 Mag for $77 dollars you sell fit this rifle and if so without any modifications?
It won’t work with the 783, it’s set up for out detachable system which is proprietary and is also set up for use with the model 700. Thanks for checking with us though.
